Abstract:
A hinge device is configured so that a second member does not perform a self-closing action near the fully open position of the second member, torque for a friction stop function is stable, and the wear of an engagement protrusion and an engagement recess is minimized. A hinge device for connecting a second member to a first member so that the second member can pivot about a shaft body, wherein the hinge device is provided with: a pair of cam members which have shaft holes through which the shaft body is inserted and which are respectively provided to the first member and the second member and can rotate relative to each other about the rotation center of the shaft holes while opposing cam surfaces are in surface contact with each other; and a pressing means which presses the pair of cam members in the direction in which the cam surfaces are in surface contact with each other. The opposing cam surfaces have formed thereon an engagement recess (22) and an engagement protrusion (23) which engage with each other. The engagement recess (22) and the engagement protrusion (23) respectively comprise three linear sections (22a, 22b, 22c) and three linear sections (23a, 23b, 23c), the three linear sections (22a, 22b, 22c) rectilinearly extending so as to be substantially parallel to each other at positions surrounding the rotation center, the three linear sections (23a, 23b, 23c) rectilinearly extending so as to be substantially parallel to each other at positions surrounding the rotation center.
