Abstract:
Provided is a hinge in which the coupling strength between a cup and a door can be ensured using the marginal flange of the cup. A hinge (10) is provided with a cup (4) which can be fitted in a mortise (2a) in the inner surface (2b) of a door (2) and which has a mounting flange (15) and a marginal flange (16a, 16b), which protrude from the upper edge thereof. A step is formed between the door (2)-side surface of the mounting flange (15) and the door (2)-side surface of the marginal flange (16a, 16b). A spacer (21) is removably mounted to the door (2)-side surface of the mounting flange (15). Through-holes (15a, 21c) into which a fastening member (17) is inserted are formed in the mounting flange (15) and the spacer (21). The door (2)-side surface of the spacer (21) and the door (2)-side surface of the marginal flange (16a, 16b) are substantially flush with each other while the spacer (21) is mounted to the mounting flange (15).
