Title:
HINGE MOUNTING APPARATUS FOR THE PANS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2004/045357
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The system was designed to mount the seats to the pans that seat can not be fixed from the bottom. The part (2) works on the part (1) mounted to the bottom of part (3) is inserted from the ceramic hole (5) on vertical position. By shaking part (4) slightly, part (2) becomes to horizontal position, by holding part (4) by hand, part (3) is tightened with screwdriver. In this way, hinge can be mounted to the hole (5) by the help of apparatus.

CLAIMS
1. This invention provides the mounting of the seats to the pans without demounting of the pans after construction.
2. In the apparatus described in Claim 1, part (2) can be put to the horizontal position by shaking and its designed to install its neck to the hole (5). By this way the loosening of the apparatus is prevented.
3. The part described in Claim 2 is the part number (2) and it moves'on the cylindrical part number (1).
4. The part number (1) described in Claim 3 will be mounted to the hinge bolt number (3).
5. The part number (1) described in Claim 3 works on hinge body (4).
6. The part number (1) described in Claim 3, rises by the rotating of part number (3) described in Claim 4 and tightens the part number (2) described in Claim 2 to seat mounting hole number (5).
Description:
Hinge mounting apparatus for the pans

This invention concerns the WC seat mounting to the pans that seat mounting cannot be performed from bottom side of the pan by the help of wing nuts.

When the seat mounting holes on the pans are not opened at full length as requirement of pan design, the seat cannot be mounted, if the pan was mounted to floor or wall during the construction.

This apparatus was developed to mount the seat to the pan in such cases without demounting pan. In order to make the apparatus more users friendly and minimize the manufacturing cost, it was designed as simple as possible and the number of parts that forms it held in minimum. For example, a spring was not used to bring part (2) to horizontal position, indeed this function is done by shaking the apparatus by hand after insertion of it to hole (5).

Also bell-shaped design of part (2) prevents the slacking of apparatus by installing of this part to seat mounting hole (5).

After that point, this invention was explained more detailed by referring to the figures in appendix.

Figure-1: The position of apparatus during assembly of the toilet seat to the pan.

Figure-2: Tightening the screw during fixing hinge to pan by the help of apparatus.

Figure-3: Final assembly.

In Figure-1, user inserts the part (2) that can move on part (1) screwed to hinge bolt (3), to the seat assembly hole (5).

In Figure-2, part (2), which can be rotated on part (1), becomes to horizontal position by shaking the part (4) by hand. Part (3) is screwed as rotating it to clockwise with a

screwdriver. Meanwhile, part (4) is hold upward to prevent rotating of part (1) and part (2).

In Figure-3 by tightening the hinge bolt (2) assembly is completed.
