Title:
HINGED SECTION CONSTRUCTION FOR A GERBER BRIDGE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1996/033311
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Reinforcement bars (13a, 14a) are disposed continuously on either an upper or a lower surface or both upper and lower surfaces of first (10) and second (11) girders positioned so as to hold therebetween a hinged section of a Gerber bridge provided at a position along the length of a continuous girder, a setting material is placed on either the upper surface or the lower surface or both the upper and lower surfaces of the first (10) and second (11) girders including the reinforcement bars (13a, 14a) to thereby form reinforcement portions (13, 14), the first (10) and second (11) girders being thereby made of a continuously integral body. Thus, a Gerber bridge can be provided with the construction of a continuous bridge that transfers a bending moment by making the hinged sections thereof continuous to form a continuous bridge thereby providing an excellent reinforcing effect and an extended stability.
