Abstract:
The present invention relates to a technology wherein: predetermined pieces of first figure information are stored in order to perform user authentication; a camera capable of photographing an external environment is mounted on the front side of an HMD device, so as to photograph the external environment and a movement of a user's hand through the camera; object tracking for a movement of the user's hand is performed from an image photographed through the camera, so as to generate figure information corresponding to a movement trajectory of the user's hand; the figure information corresponding to the movement trajectory of the user's hand is compared with the predetermined pieces of first figure information; and then the user authentication can be completed when it is determined that the figure information matches the predetermined pieces of first figure information as a result of the comparison, whereby a user can easily perform an authentication process even in an HMD device which does not have a separate input unit.
