Abstract:
A hoist device for an elevator that, when braking performance of a braking device is worsened or when a failure occurs where the braking device itself does not work effectively, solves a problem of stop acceleration in a car increasing and suppresses an increase in an installation space and an increase in the number of parts. The hoist device for an elevator has a hoist (1); a sheave (2) that is fixed to an output shaft of the hoist (1); a speed detector (3) that detects the rotation speed of the output shaft of the hoist (1); a rope come-out preventor-cum-braking means (6) that functions, in normal operation, as a rope come-out preventor for the sheave (2) and a deflector sheave (5) and functions, in an emergency, as a braking means; and a control means (14) that detects, based on a rotation speed detected by the speed detector (3), abnormality caused by overspeed to activate the rope come-out preventor-cum-braking means (6).
