Advantageously, the engaging means to a dish comprises a claw-like support made from a flexible or rigid material including two arms parallel to each other and an appendix parallel and separated from both arms. Preferably, both arms are provided to contact with the lower part of the wing of the dish, and the appendix is provided to contact with the upper part of the wing of the dish.

Advantageously, the ends of both arms extend according curved surfaces provided to support the fingers of the guest, helping to press the claw-like support against the dish.

Therefore, the guest at the same time can take a dish and place the fingers at the curves surfaces of both arms, preventing any undesired movement of the claw-like support .

Also advantageously, the arms and the appendix include at their internal surfaces, provided to contact with the wing of the dish, gripping means to prevent it to slide.

Preferably, the gripping means comprises two projections of silicone provided at both arms and a suction pad provided at the appendix.

Optionally, the gripping means comprises a relief at the material itself, or a change of material or texture .

Preferably, the appendix includes at its external surface a zone provided as advertising or informative support. E.g. it can be printed or emboss the name of the guest or a logo.

Advantageously, the holding device of the present invention is made in one piece of an injected plastic material or from a metallic material.

Fig. 7 is a perspective view of the holding device engaged to the wing of a dish and holding a cup at an intermediate height.

DESCRIPTION OF A PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

The holding device 1 for glasses 2, 3, cups 4, and the like, is of the kind applied in situations where the guest is standing and must hold a dish 5 and a glass 2,

3, cup 4 or the like at the same time. In particular, the holding device 1 can hold any container devised to contain liquid or semi-liquid food to be consumed, such as glasses, cups, bowls, etc.

As it can be seen from Figs. 1 to 3, the holding device 1 of glasses 2, 3, cups 4 and the like comprises holding means 6 of a glass 2, 3, cup 4, or the like, and engaging means 7 to a dish 5, so that the guest can hold with only one hand the dish 5 and the glass 2, 3, cup 4 or the like.

In this preferred embodiment, the holding means 6 of the glass 2, 3, cup 4 or the like comprises a first clamp 8 provided at its lower part with a first annular protrusion 9, and a second clamp 10 of lower diameter concentric to said first clamp 8 and provided at its lower part, said second clamp 10 including a second annular protrusion 11 provided with a perimeter edge 12, both annular protrusions being devised to hold the glass 2, 3, cup 4 or the like at its base taking into account its diameter, and said perimeter edge 12 being devised to hold the glass 2, 3, cup 4 or the like at its external wall.

Therefore, in those cases in which the diameter of the base of the glass 2, 3, cup 4 or the like is greater than the internal diameter of said perimeter edge 12, the glass 2, 3, cup 4 or the like could rest on the said first or second annular protrusion 9, 11 depending on its diameter, using also the lateral wall of the respective clamps 8, 10 to avoid movements. It can be seen in Fig. 5 that the tube glass 2 rests on the lower annular protrusion 11 and tight with the walls of the lower clamp 10; and in Fig. 6 that the conventional glass 3 rests on the upper annular protrusion 9 and surrounded by the walls of the upper clamp 8. Alternatively, in the case of narrow glasses 2,

3, cups 4 or the like, these can be hold by its external wall at a preset height in which the external diameter of the glass 2, 3, cup 4 or the like and the internal diameter of the perimeter edge 12 match, so that the gravity centre lowers and it is more stable. In Fig. 7 it can be seen that

the cup 4 is fitted by its external wall at the perimeter edge 12.

On the other hand, the engaging means 7 to a dish 5 comprises a claw-like support 7 made from a flexible or rigid material including two arms 13 parallel to each other and an appendix 14 placed parallel and offset from both arms 13.

Both arms 13 are provided to contact the lower part of the wing of the dish 5 (see Fig. 4), and the appendix 14 is provided to contact the upper part of the wing of the dish 5 (see Figs. 5 to 7) .

The ends 13a of both arms 13 extend according to curved surfaces provided to support the fingers of the guest, and help of pressing the claw-like support 7 against the dish 5.

The arms 13 and the appendix 14 include at their internal surfaces, provided to contact the wing of the dish

5, gripping means to prevent it to slide, including two projections 15 of silicone placed at both arms 13 and a suction pad 16 placed at the appendix 14.

Furthermore, the appendix 14 can include at its external surface a zone provided as advertising or informative support, so that the holding device 1 can be customized with logos or publicity of the final client. The holding device 1 of the invention is made of one piece of injected plastic material; even though it could also be made from cast metallic material o by welded metallic rods.

Therefore, thanks to the holding device 1 of the invention, the guest can hold the glass 2, 3, cup 4 or the like with the same hand as the dish 5, because it is a claw-shape device that can be engaged in the majority of dishes in the market and can hold the majority of glasses, cups and the like in the market.
