Abstract:
Disclosed are a holding device for an industrial robot and a holding method. The device comprises a main body which is a circular block. A guide cone member having a sharp end pointing downward is coaxially disposed at a middle position of a lower end of the main body. Multiple sliding channels are distributed on an upper and lower end surface of the main body in an array, sliding members are slidably fitted in the sliding channels, and upper ends of the sliding members are vertically provided with upper fastening rods. The upper fastening rods are connected to a drive assembly which drives the rod to slide along the sliding channels. Lower ends of the sliding members are provided with lower fastening rods. The present invention provides improvements targeted at drawbacks of existing devices, and the design of the holding device enables the same to automatically find a holding boundary, thereby eliminating a preliminary position configuration that would be required for an object to be held, reducing costs for providing components for preliminary positioning, simplifying holding apparatuses, and achieving superior practicability.
