Abstract:
Provided is a window screen net holding member, which is effective for fixing
a window screen net having a fine mesh of thinner filaments than those of the existing
mothproofing net, in a window screen frame. The holding member (14) is constituted
to include a pair of legs (16), which can be elastically deformed and so fitted
in a cover plate (15) for covering a retaining groove (18) as are fitted under pressure
to contact with inward protruding ridges (19). The cover plate (15) has such
soft pressure portions (15a) formed integrally therewith on the outer sides
of the legs (16) as are forced to contact with a net (12) clamped in the retaining
groove (18) between themselves and the outer faces (19a) of the inward protruding
ridges (19). The pressure portions (15a) have sharp ridges (15b) formed to make
elastic contact with the net clamped in the retaining groove (18) between themselves
and the outer faces of the inward protruding edges (19), and the ridges are made
so elastic as are deformed by the asperities of the net surface.
