Abstract:
Provided is a hole machining method using a tap tool (10) that rotates around a rotation axis (Cr) and comprises: a thread part (14) having a blade part (14a) for machining a thread groove in a pilot hole (6'); and a non-engagement part (17) that forms a space (20) between the pilot hole (6') and the non-engagement part (17) in a cross-sectional view in which the rotation axis (Cr) and a central axis (C6) of the pilot hole (6') are aligned. The hole machining method comprises: rotating the tap tool (10) to advance the tap tool (10) toward a workpiece (8) and to machine a thread groove in a first state in which the central axis (C6) and the rotation axis (Cr) are aligned; rotating the tap tool (10) around the rotation axis (Cr) to move the tap tool (10) toward the non-engagement part (17) in a direction orthogonal to the rotation axis (Cr) in the pilot hole (6'), thereby changing from the first state to a second state in which the thread part (14) and the thread groove are disengaged; and retracting the tap tool (10) from a tapped hole (6).
