Abstract:
A gradual contact area-changing section (18C) connecting the tip section (18A) and the base section (18B) of the peripheral wall (18) of a hole plug (14) is configured so that the shape as seen from the direction of insertion into an installation hole (12) changes gradually and when inserted in the installation hole (12), some of the portion on the tip section (18A) side contact portions of the inner circumference (12B) of the installation hole (12). Meanwhile, the portion of the gradual contact area-changing section (18C) on the base section (18B) side is configured so that the entire circumference thereof contacts the entire inner circumference (12B) of the installation hole (12). The hole plug is configured so that when inserted in an installation hole (12), the area of contact with the installation hole (12) expands gradually from the tip section (18A) side to the base section (18B) side of the gradual contact area-changing section (18C).
