The invention relates to a hole saw comprising a holding element (2) that can be made to rotate by the rotation of a clamping shaft (1) about an axis (A) and that has, on its side facing away from the clamping shaft (1), fastening pockets (6, 7) which extend radially to the axis (A), at least one of the fastening pockets (6, 7) being associated with a saw element (8), and said saw element (8) having a fastening element (9) that rests on a bottom surface (6'') of the fastening pocket (6, 7). Two lateral faces (9') of the fastening element (9) lie on respective lateral flanks (6', 7') of the fastening pocket (6, 7). The fastening element (9) is screwed into a slide block (13) having an internal screw thread (13) from the side of the fastening element (9) by means of a screw (12), said slide block being radially movable, guided by guide surfaces (14). The radially extending fastening pockets (6, 7) are arranged about the axis (A) evenly distributed over the circumference and their bottom surfaces (6'', 7'') have round holes (15) and slotted holes (15'). The edges of said slots form stops for the threaded shanks (12') and are arranged such that the saw teeth (11) of at least three saw elements (8) can be arranged jointly about the axis (A) on circular lines of different diameters.
