Abstract:
Provided is a hollow fiber membrane module that helps to increase the proportion of membrane surface area contributing to a membrane separation action. The present invention is characterized in that the inside wall surface of a case 100 is provided with: at least one flow straightening protrusion 130 protruding toward the outer peripheral surface of a hollow fiber membrane bundle 300 so as to assure a gap between the inside wall surface of the case 100 and the hollow fiber membrane bundle 300 and extending from one end side of the case 100 toward the other side for straightening the flow of a fluid; and at least one turbulence creating protrusion 140 extending in the circumferential direction of the case 100 for creating turbulence in the flow of the fluid.
