Abstract:
The present invention relates to a hollow last and to a method for manufacturing same. In detail, the hollow last of the present invention is manufactured by a blow molding technique from a synthetic resin material, wherein the hollow last has an insert portion which is inserted into an ankle of the last and which consists of a plurality of pipe core pins arranged in a line, and has a surface on which a plurality of air vent holes are formed. The method for manufacturing a hollow last by means of a blow molding technique according to the present invention comprises a parison mold installation step of installing a parison mold for molding plastic vessels between left/right molds and a bottom mold which are opened, in order to mold a last; a material injection step of injecting a last molding material into tubes of the parison mold; and a blow molding step of injecting air into the tubes after the injection of the last molding material while simultaneously closing the left/right molds and the bottom mold, in order to blow mold a last. The hollow last of the present invention comprises the multipurpose insert portion inserted into the ankle portion of the last in order to enable a variety of jigs or devices to be used for molding, thereby achieving improved convenience in manufacturing shoes. Particularly, smooth air circulation is enabled such that cold or hot air introduced through air inlet pipe core pins of the insert portion can escape through the air vent holes formed at the side surface of the last. Thus, heating and cooling operations can be performed at the corner of the interior of the last if the heating and cooling operation is needed during processes for molding a last. In addition, the method for manufacturing a hollow last according to the present invention involves forming air vent holes and a support for the last in a more convenient and efficient manner as compared to conventional methods which perform blow molding using just left/right molds. The method of the present invention can mold more elaborate lasts and with a greater variety as compared to conventional blow molding methods.
