Abstract:

Provided are a hollow needle-shaped body manufacturing method whereby it is possible to form a through hole with a desired shape, and a hollow needle-shaped body. A hollow needle-shaped body (1) manufacturing method according to the present invention comprises: a first step of fabricating a needle-shaped body (5), having a base plate (2) and a protrusion part (3) which is formed upon a protrusion part forming face which is one face of the base plate (2); and a second step of, after the completion of the first step, projecting a laser beam from a protrusion part non-forming face side which is the other face of the base plate (2) and forming a through hole (4) which passes through the base plate (2) and the protrusion part (3). The base plate (2) and the protrusion part (3) are formed with crystalline polyglycolic acid.
