Abstract:
A hollow stabilizer, wherein, even if the hollow stabilizer is bent with a through-hole formed in a mounting section, the position of the through-hole does not change.
A hollow stabilizer (10) is formed in substantially a U-shape by bending a steel pipe blank, and a mounting section (18) crushed into a flat plate-like shape is formed at the front end of the hollow stabilizer. A through-hole (20) for fixing the mounting section (18) to a vehicle body is provided in the mounting section (18). The mounting section (18) has a cross-sectional shape having a three-layer structure partitioned by superposed surfaces (36, 38) of a folded hollow section. That is, the three-layer structure is composed of an upper layer portion (42) located above the superposed surface (36), an intermediate layer portion (44) located between the superposed surface (36) and the superposed surface (38), and a lower layer portion (46) located below the superposed portion (38). The superposed surface (36) and the superposed surface (38) form an X-shape in the cross-section.
