Abstract:
A hollow worm conveyer (1) made of a strip material has a guiding surface formed by strips (2, 3, 4), whose edges are oriented along a spiral line both in the longitudinal and the transversal cross-section of the worm conveyer. The proposed worm conveyer is made by preliminarily twisting the strips along their longitudinal axis with their subsequent bending, for example on a mandrel, in the transversal direction and interconnecting by their edges.
