Abstract:
Provided is a wireless power transmission device for determining empty heating according to an embodiment disclosed herein. The wireless power transmission device comprises: a wireless power transmission unit including a transmission coil for transmitting wireless power and an inverter circuit that drives the transmission coil; at least one processor for controlling the inverter circuit; and a communication interface for communicating with a cooking appliance. The communication interface receives the temperature of the bottom surface of the cooking appliance and the temperature inside the cooking appliance for a first prescribed period, during which a heating operation is performed via the transmission coil, and a second prescribed period, during which the heating operation via the transmission coil is stopped after the first prescribed period, from the cooking appliance, and the at least one processor controls the inverter circuit to stop the heating operation, performed via the transmission coil, after the first prescribed period, and determines whether the cooking appliance is being heated while empty on the basis of the relationship between the temperature of the bottom surface of the cooking appliance and the temperature inside the cooking appliance during the second prescribed period.
