Abstract:
Provided is a honeycomb battery box having an absorbent layer, the honeycomb battery box comprising a honeycomb box body and an absorbent layer, wherein the honeycomb box body is used for accommodating multiple battery cells; and the absorbent layer is arranged at one end of the honeycomb box body and is used for absorbing flammable gas and liquid sprayed out of the battery cells during thermal runaway. According to the honeycomb battery box having an absorbent layer, when thermal runaway occurs in the battery cells of a lithium battery, the flammable gas and liquid generated due to the thermal runaway of the battery cells firstly pass through the solid absorbent layer and are then absorbed by or reacts with the solid absorbent layer while passing through same, so as to achieve the purpose of preventing further spreading of the thermal runaway.
