Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a honeycomb catalyst in which a precious metal is supported on a honeycomb structure equipped with a honeycomb fired body in which a plurality of through-holes are arranged in the lengthwise direction and separated by a partition, the honeycomb catalyst being characterized in that: the honeycomb fired body comprises an extrusion molded article containing ceria-zirconia composite oxide particles and alumina particles; the precious metal is supported on the partition; and the concentration of the precious metal on the surface of the partition is higher than the concentration of the precious metal in the center of the partition in the thickness direction thereof.
