Abstract:
The process for producing the honeycomb filter intermediate includes a step in which an undercoating material is applied to a ceramic honeycomb structure. The undercoating material is an emulsion comprising a liquid and, dispersed therein, an organic-polymer dispersed phase having an average diameter of 0.1-0.8 μm. The process for producing the honeycomb filter includes fixing a catalyst or a catalyst support to the surface of a ceramic honeycomb intermediate structure.
