Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2007/091688
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Honeycomb structure (1) comprising, arranged so that multiple cells (5) as a flow channel for exhaust gas are provided between two end faces through unified bonding of honeycomb segments (2) having part of the whole configuration by means of bonding material (9) and through working of the outer circumference of the bonded segments into given configuration, numerous first-pore having internal cell walls (6), numerous second-pore having outer circumferential walls (8) disposed so as to surround the internal cell walls (6) and numerous third-pore having internal cell walls (outer circumferential internal cell walls) (11) abutted to an outer circumferential wrought surface becoming the outermost circumference by working of the outer circumferential part, wherein a filling material containing not only particles with a diameter allowing the same to enter the interior of the second pores but also a binder capable of binding of particle and interior of the second pores of the outer circumferential walls (8) and/or particle-to-particle is disposed in the interior of the second pores of the outer circumferential walls (8).
