Abstract:
This columnar honeycomb structure includes an outer peripheral wall, and porous separating walls which are arranged inside the outer peripheral wall, and which demarcate and form a plurality of cells that penetrate through from one end surface to the other end surface to form flow passages, wherein a plurality of small wire pieces each consisting of a magnetic body are provided in the cells, in the direction in which the cells extend, spaced apart by means of space or a cushioning material.
