Abstract:
A honeycomb structure, characterized in that it has a number of through holes piercing in the direction of the axis divided by a partition wall, comprises refractory particles and a glass component, and is porous. The honeycomb structure contains refractory particles such as those of silicon carbide and moreover can be sintered at a relatively low temperature in the manufacture thereof, which leads to the reduction in its manufacturing cost and also the improvement of yield, and thus can be supplied in an inexpensive price.
