Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a honeycomb structure comprising a sintered honeycomb body having a plurality of through-holes arranged in parallel in the longitudinal direction and having partition walls interposed therebetween. The honeycomb structure is characterized by: the sintered honeycomb body comprising an extrusion-molded body including ceria-zirconia composite oxide particles, θ alumina particles, γ alumina, and α alumina fibers; and the porosity of the sintered honeycomb body being 55%-70%.
