AMENDED CLAIMS received by the International Bureau on 16 October 2016 Claims [Claim 1] A method for improving fume capture efficiency of a hood assembly, wherein the hood assembly is placed above a fume-producing device, the method comprising: providing a plurality of individual vertically extending wall assemblies configured to form an enclosure; and placing the enclosure under the hood assembly, wherein, the wall assemblies are configured to enclose the whole area under the hood assembly over the fume-producing device, wherein, each wall assembly is vertically extendable independent of the other wall assemblies, wherein, the wall assemblies are configured to be mounted under the hood exterior, wherein, the wall assemblies are made of transparent and flame- retardant material. [Claim 2] The method according to claim 1, wherein placing the enclosure under the hood assembly includes mounting the enclosure on the hood assembly. [Claim 3] The method according to claim 1, wherein placing the enclosure under the hood assembly includes mounting the enclosure on a surface near the hood assembly. [Claim 4] The enclosure according to claim 1, wherein the wall assemblies are pivotally attached to the hood assembly. [Claim 5] The enclosure according to claim 1, wherein each wall assembly comprises at least one planar elongated panels. [Claim 6] The enclosure according to claim 1, wherein each wall assembly includes a plurality of sub-panel assemblies, wherein the sub-panel assemblies are interconnected with each other to form the wall assembly. [Claim 7] The enclosure according to claim 6, wherein each sub-panel assembly comprises: a panel; and at least one sliding track mechanism, wherein, the at least one sliding track mechanism are mounted on transverse sides of the panel. [Claim 8] The enclosure according to claim 6, wherein the sub-panel assemblies are pivotally interconnected to form the wall assembly. [Claim 9] The enclosure according to claim 1, wherein each wall assembly is vertically adjustable between a fully retracted position to a fully vertically extended position. [Claim 10] The enclosure according to claim 1, wherein each wall assembly is foldable under the hood assembly in its fully retracted position. [Claim 11] The enclosure according to claim 5, wherein the panel is made of a material selected from the group consisting of transparent, reinforced glass or transparent, rigid, flame -retardant, self-extinguishing polymers. |
