Abstract:
Disclosed is a hood structure that is for a vehicle and that can cause an increase in energy absorption performance when colliding with a collided object. An undulating section (20)—wherein beads (22) and concavities (24) are provided in alternation along the widthwise direction of the hood and that has a wavy shape in a cross sectional view—is formed at nearly the entire central region (18E) of a hood inner panel. In the cross section of the wavy shape of the undulating section (20), the widthwise measurement (25) between the peaks (22A) of the beads (22) that are formed on both adjacent sides of any given bead (22) aside from the two on the ends among the plurality of beads (22) is set in a manner so as to be smaller than 165 mm, which is the outer diameter (D) of a head impactor (C) that simulates the head of a pedestrian.
