Description:
A HOOD WITH AN ILLUMINATION DEVICE

TECHNICAL FIELD

The invention relates to a hood with an illumination device, in particular LED illumination elements.

BACKGROUND OF THE ART

The hood comprises a casing made of panels where a suction fan is disposed, and a panel with a suction opening provided on the body in a way that draws the indoor air with the vacuum created by the suction fan. Light fixtures are provided on a mounting platform on the body or panel facing a cooking area in order to illuminate the cooking area. The light fixture is mounted by passing through the opening provided with a cutout that reaches the mounting platform, screwed to the connection extensions on an assembly platform. A decorative metal flat ring is visibly mounted on the part of the light fixture surrounding the opening. Color options of metal frames are limited, costly and difficult to assemble. Decorative metal frames form additional protrusion on the panel, leading oil accumulation on the edges adjacent to the panel during the use and making it difficult to clean the product.

TR201508861 A2 describes a hood comprising a mounting plate having one or more holes for manual insertion and mounting of a light fixture. The light fixture includes two diametrically opposed spring tabs that abut against the inner surface of the mounting plate by inserting the light fixture into the hole during assembly. The hood includes a metal mounting plate, multiple first and second metal tabs integrally located around the hole. The first and second metal tabs extend towards the center of the hole. The first and second metal tabs are bent inward to push the light fixture towards the center of the hole after the light fixture is inserted into the hole during assembly.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The object of the invention is to mount an illumination assembly, in particular an LED fixture, with the decorative ring without the use of any fasteners. In order to achieve above objective, the invention is comprising a hood with an illumination assembly comprising a housing having a flat lighting panel; a recess in the form of a depression provided in the lighting panel confining an opening from an inner side; an illumination device having a flange attached to the recess and a body elevates vertically inwardly towards the lighting panel passing through the opening. The hood further comprises a decorative plate covering the housing and at one hand engaging to the inner side from an inner frame by means of a locking tab at the other hand removably attached to the inner side from a mounting tab thereof. The decorative plate from one hand attached to the body of the illumination device at the other hand secure the body to the panel by means of the mounting tab easily mounted to the lighting body. With this embodiment, the decorative panel is first secured on the body and then on the recess together and easily detached if required thanks to the snap-fit connection. It is possible to replace the decorative plate by simply stretching the locking tabs after the illumination assembly is removed from the opening by stretching the mounting tabs. In this case, it is possible to easily mount decorative plates for example in different color alternatives into the recess.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the flat decorative plate is in a stepped structure fits into the housing such that the inner frame arranged at the top and its outer frame at the bottom. In this way, the decorative panel fits the recess when the lighting fixture secured to inner frame with the mounting tab and holds decorative panel, is mounted in the opening. In a possible embodiment, the decorative panel is in the form of an S or J-like section. In this way, it is possible to suspend the outer frame to the inner opening, filling the recess formed in the lighting panel.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the outer frame extends in the plane of a support wall with a depression on the lighting panel. In this way, the decorative panel and the lighting panel do not form a sharp edges and easy cleaning of dirt such as oil accumulation on the hood is ensured. In a preferred embodiment, the lower end of the body includes a flat glass in-plane with the lighting panel. In this way, after the installation of the illumination device, the lighting panel is completely planar allowing easy cleaning.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the mounting tab is in the form of a flexible tab integrated perpendicular to the inner frame, aligned with the opening. The flexible tab bends in the opening by simply pushing the decorative panel towards the recess, allowing it to be attached to the inner frame from the inside. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, a notch is formed at the opening corresponding to the body of the mounting tab. The notch makes it possible to align the mounting tab with the inner opening delimited by the inner frame at a distance of the notch depth. In this way, the mounting tab does not block the body passing through the inner frame and keeps the inner opening accessible.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the locking tab extends on the body towards the flange to provide an intermediate space wherein the inner frame will be disposed. In this way, when the decorative panel is inserted against the flange on the body, the locking tab provides locking support to the inner frame from the top. In this way, a compact structure is obtained. When the body passing through the inner frame of the decorative panel blocked with the internal extension of the flange, the mounting tab presses on the decorative panel from the bottom thanks to the height of the inner frame and is locked to the decorative panel illumination assembly in the axial direction.

A preferred embodiment of the invention comprises a support wall forming an inlet section at the inner frame corresponding to the body of locking tab and the locking tab inside the inlet section rest thereon when being rotated. While the decorative panel passes over the body towards the flange, the locking tab is aligned to the inlet and passage is provided without being attached to the inner frame locking tab. Then, the decorative panel is preferably rotated about its center axis, aligning the support wall at the lower end of the mounting tab and resting on the inner frame of the decorative panel from the support wall, preventing its axial displacement.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the support wall is in an integrated structure confined radially at the inner periphery of the inner frame and stepped by bending outwardly. Thanks to the stepped structure of the support wall, the rotation of the decorative panel in the center is limited radially in order to get it into the locking position with the mounting tab. When the lower end of the locking tab is aligned with the support wall, it is stopped from the side with the edge of the support wall adjacent to the inner frame.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the decorative plate is in the form of a ring coaxially aligned with the opening and the body. In this way, it is easily aligned visually from its circular center to the body or opening to the illumination assembly or to the lighting panel by an operator during assembly. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the decorative plate is made of plastic material. In this way, it is possible to integrate the mounting tab with the decorative plate. The decorative plate acts as a simple and strong clip for the illumination fixture to the illumination plate. The need for the use of additional screws is eliminated. In addition, the easy-to-install decorative plate is offered in different color options and can be mounted by the user. In order to do this, the decorative plate of the selected color is simply arranged on to the illumination element, rests on the flange, and is locked to the illumination device by turning it with the locking tab. The illumination assembly is then disposed in the recess and the mounting tabs pass through the inner frame of the inner frame, suspending the illumination assembly.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the angle between the position of the locking tab on the decorative plate and the mounting tab position in a mounting position is essentially 90°. In this way, the load of the illumination device on the decoration panel is reliably distributed. Preferably, the locking tab is utilized as a pair and the perpendicular mounting tab as an corresponding opposing pair.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the illumination device is a hollow cylinder-like LED fixture. For example, an LED fixture aligned to a cooking area facing the hood provides a long-lasting and low-energy illumination function.

In this detailed explanation, the invention is explained without any limitation and only with reference to examples to better explain the subject matter invention.

In Figure 1, a hood is shown in bottom perspective, comprising a lighting panel (10) spaced horizontally above a cooking appliance (not shown) and a casing (1) covering a suction motor (not shown). An illumination assembly (20) comprising an LED fixture is shown before mounting to the lighting panel (10). The lighting panel (10) is a flat metal panel. A circular recess (12) with a circular opening (11) in the center and aligned with each other is formed on the lighting panel (10) by bending and cutting. The recess (12) has an inward stepped structure, and an inner side (14) surrounds the opening (11). The opening (11) is in the form of a coaxial circle with the nested circular stepped recess (12). Four notches (13) perpendicular to each other were cut-out from the opening (11 ) towards the inner part (14). In the recess (12), an outer part (16) that opens radially outward with an S-like section from the inner side (14) joins a flat support wall (15). The peripheral edges of the support wall (15) are mounted to the casing (1) from the vertically outwardly curved parts. The illumination device (20) having a cylindrical body (22) has a flange (23) at its lower end. The decorative plate (30) in the form of a flat plastic ring is secured on the flange (23) in an axially blocked manner. It is mounted vertically on the outer lateral wall of the body (22) and is mounted on the decorative plate (30) by pressing from the top face, with a pair of mutual locking tabs (24) from the upper end to the body (22). The illumination device (20), in which the decorative plate (30) is disposed, is aligned upwards (in the direction of the arrow) to be concentric with the opening (11) and placed in the recess (12).

In Figure 2, the illumination device (20) and the decorative plate (30) to be adapted thereon are shown in perspective before assembly. The decorative plate (30) has a stepped form and is open to provide a central spacing. An inner frame (34) surrounding the spacing is bent from the inside to form an opening (33) into which the flange (23) will be inserted, and extends radially outward to form an outer frame (32). The diameter of the outer frame (32) is equal to the diameter of the outer side (16) of the housing (12) . Thus, when the decorative plate (30) is disposed in the recess (12), it completely covers the recess (12) along the periphery of the outer portion (16). Since the outer frame (32) has a flat structure, when the decorative plate (30) is disposed on the lighting panel (10), it extends in the same plane with the support wall (15) and does not form a protrusion. There is a pair of opposing mounting tabs (35) on the inner frame (34) that elevates symmetrically by being provided from its lower end. The mounting tab (35) is in the form of a flexible post and has an angled portion that is flat inside and hooks outward at the outside end. The mounting tab (35) is slightly flexible without breaking radially inward from its free end. A pair of mutually symmetrical holding parts (36) radially at right angles to the pair of mounting tabs (35) is provided in the inner frame (34). The holding part (36) is an axially downwardly aligned flat support wall (361) which steps in the radial direction with respect to the contour of the inner frame (34), and an inlet portion (361) provided at one end of the support wall (361) by a radial boundary between the inner frame (34).

In Figure 3, the axial mounting of the decorative plate (30) by locking to the illumination device (30) is shown from above. The cylindrical body (22) is passed through the inner opening of the inner frame (34) of equal diameter in the axial direction. A lower rim portion (25) of the body (22) fits exactly into the opening of the inner frame (34). Meanwhile, the radial outward extending end of the locking tab (24) extending down from the body (22) passes by aligning to the inlet section (362). When the flange (23) rests on the inner periphery (33), the support wall (361) is aligned by rotating the decorative plate (30) in the space between the free end of the locking tab (24) and the flange (23). Thus, the support wall (361) fills the intermediate space and the bottom flange (23) remains axially immovable and locked between the bottom end of the top locking tab (24). The radial locking movement of the decorative plate (30) is stopped by resting on the step at the end of the support wall (361) from the side of the locking tab (24). In Figure 4, the illumination assembly (20) is shown inside with the decorative plate (30) mounted on the lighting panel (10). During assembly, the mounting tabs (35) of the decorative plate (30) and the locking tabs (24) perpendicular to it engages through the corresponding notches (13) and the body (22) is passed through the opening (11). The inner frame (34) on the flange (23) is diposed on the inner part (14) and the outer frame (32) following the form of the housing (12) is disposed on the outer part (16). In the meantime, mounting tabs (35) are mounted on the lighting panel (10) by hanging from the notch (13) from the free ends of the holder to the inside of the opening (11). The weight of the illumination device (20) is transferred from the top to the support wall (361) with the locking tab (24) and the mounting tabs (35) transfer this weight to the housing (12) from the inside. In this way, the window (not shown) located in the front of the flange (23) and protecting the LED illumination elements, fills the outer part (16) and extends in the same plane with the support wall (15). For disassembly, simply by rotating the flange (23) inside the housing (12), the mounting tabs (35) are aligned with the notch (13) and the illumination assembly (20) is separated from the opening (11) and allowed to be dropped down by its weight. Then, the decorative plate (30) is rotated in the opposite direction of the assembly and the locking tab (24) is taken to the inlet (362), and the decorative plate (30) is pulled up over the rim (25) and removed from the body (22). In this way, it is possible to assemble a new decorative plate (30) on the illumination device (20).
