Abstract:
A hook surface fastener excelling in heat resistance, flame resistance, hook configuration maintaining capability and extraction resistance of hook interlock element (fiber). The hook surface fastener comprises a ground fabric and, provided thereon, hook interlock elements. The ground fabric is a fabric composed of a warp, a weft and a fiber constructing hook interlock elements. The warp and fiber constructing hook interlock elements are each a polyphenylene sulfide fiber. The weft is a substantially nontwisted paralleled yarn of polyphenylene sulfide fiber and thermally fusible fiber of 230°C or below melting point or softening point. The polyphenylene sulfide fiber constructing hook interlock elements exhibits a crystal orientation degree of 85.0 to 90.0% and a degree of crystallization of 32.0 to 42.0%, so that the hook configuration maintaining capability thereof is good. The fiber constructing hook interlock elements is fixed to the ground fabric by fusion of the thermally fusible fiber, so that even when the backside of the ground fabric is substantially not provided with a resin coat layer, the hook interlock elements (fiber) exhibit a good extraction resistance. Moreover, as there is substantially no resin coat layer, good heat resistance and flame resistance can be attained.
