Abstract:
This hop pellet contains greater than or equal to 50 wt%, preferably greater than or equal to 60 wt%, and most preferably greater than or equal to 70%, of hop flowers (E・M) that exhibit a hue that satisfies the condition of having an a* value in the CIE Lab color system of less than -0.5 and that preferably further satisfies the condition of having an h value in the CIE Lch color system of greater than or equal to 90°. By having characteristics different than those of normal hops, these hop pellets make it possible to broaden the scope of beer making through use differentiated from and combined with normal hops, enabling providing novel tastes in luxury goods.
