Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To provide a hopper that stores articles received from an upper opening
and discharges them from a lower opening, and a metering and a packaging device
having the hopper. Such a hopper can arrange in a compact form the articles to be
discharged and, simultaneously, can prevent clogging of the articles. [MEANS
FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEMS] This hopper receives the articles from the upper opening,
stores them in a storage part formed by closing the lower opening by a gate, and
downwardly discharges the stored articles by opening the gate. The gate has two
gate members of L-shaped cross section rotatively supported so as to face each
other. The gate member is characterized in that the L-shaped cross section is
formed by a body wall of which lower ends approach each other to form a reverse roof
shape when the gate is closed and side walls extending from the one ends to cover
the side ends of the body wall facing each other when the gate is closed.
