Abstract:
A horizontal articulated robot (1) comprises: a first link (41); a second link (42), the proximal end of which is coupled to one of the top or bottom of the distal end of the first link (41); a third link (43), the proximal end of which is coupled to the other of the top or bottom of the distal end of the second link (42); and a spacer (49) that is disposed in the coupling section between the second link (42) and one of either the first link (41) and the third link (43) and that separates the second link (42) and the one link vertically so that the trajectory of motion of the third link (43) does not interfere with the first link (41).
