Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a horizontal axis rotor in which, rather than a fluid being pushed out by blades, a high-speed flow associated with a Coandă effect resulting from the rotation of the blades flows toward the back face and a propulsive force is obtained as the counteraction, such that the horizontal axis rotor has a high rotational efficiency at a low power. A lift-type blade 1 is configured such that the front face 3D in the flow-receiving direction is a bulging face having the shape of a large arc in the chord direction and the back face 3E in the flow-releasing direction is smaller than the bulge of the front face 3D, such that a high-speed flow passing from the trailing edge 3G part in the back face 3E direction along the chord direction of the front face during rotation acts as a propulsive force.
