Provided is a horizontal axis wind power generator wherein it is possible to eliminate the constant unbalanced state of the load and stress on the entire structure of a horizontal axis wind power generator and to safely and stably increase the size of a horizontal axis wind power generator. A horizontal axis wind power generator equipped with a yaw following mechanism (Y) capable of adjusting the orientation of a windmill (W) by following the wind direction, wherein a main shaft (17) is formed as a double shaft penetrating a hub (16), the windmill (W) is supported on both sides by supporting the main shaft (17) by means of shaft supporting members (20) disposed on two locations on both sides of the main shaft (17) sandwiching the hub (16), and a pair or a plurality of pairs of generators (C, C) is disposed such that the windmill (W) is sandwiched in the middle. It is possible to create a stable balanced state in which an eccentric load does not exist statically or dynamically by positioning the center (23) of the main body (B) of such a generator on the rotating plane of the windmill and by matching the aforementioned center (23) with the center of the turning motion of the yaw following mechanism (Y).
