A horizontal drive assembly of a dual power source vehicle, comprising a first power source, a second power source, and an automatic transmission (10). The power sources are respectively connected with a first input shaft (21) and a second input shaft (22) of the automatic transmission. A first intermediate shaft (31) is provided in parallel with the first input shaft; a second intermediate shaft (32) and a third intermediate shaft (33) are respectively provided in directions coaxial with the first input shaft and the first intermediate shaft; a first clutch (41) is provided between the first intermediate shaft and the third intermediate shaft; a second clutch (42) is provided between the first input shaft and the second intermediate shaft. A first gear (11) on the first input shaft is in engaged transmission with a second gear (12) on the first intermediate shaft; a third gear (13) on the second intermediate shaft is in engaged transmission with a fourth gear (14) on the third intermediate shaft. A fifth gear (15) on the third intermediate shaft is in engaged transmission with a sixth gear (16) on a differential. A seventh gear (17) engaged with the third gear is provided on the second input shaft. The drive assembly can achieve transmission of three speed ratios, has a flexible transmission form, reduces the longitudinal size, and is suitable for a vehicle having a compact structure.
