Abstract:
Disclosed is a horn antenna device that provides a circularly polarized signal. The disclosed horn antenna device comprises: a flange part coupled to a power feeding device that provides an RF signal to be fed; a horn radiator part which has a first terminal end coupled to the flange part and an opening surface therein, and radiates the RF signal fed from the power feeding device, wherein the area of the opening surface increases progressively from the first terminal end toward a second terminal end that is the opposite end from the first terminal end; a first polarization conversion groove which is formed in the inner wall of the horn radiator part in the longitudinal direction of the horn radiator part; and a second polarization conversion groove which is formed in the inner wall of the horn radiator part in the longitudinal direction of the horn radiator part and is spaced apart from the first polarization conversion groove, wherein the first polarization conversion groove and the second polarization conversion groove are formed starting at points spaced a predetermined distance from the first terminal end, and the distance from the starting point of the first polarization conversion groove to the first terminal end is equal to the distance from the starting point of the second polarization conversion groove to the first terminal end.
