Abstract:
The purpose of the invention is to dispose a structure for biasing a garnish so that the garnish moves away from a cover body, on a location other than a space between the cover body and the garnish. Disclosed is a horn switch device to be incorporated in a steering wheel, which is provided with a garnish having an underside surface on which a biasing protrusion is projected; a cover element wherein a recessed portion to which the garnish can be attached so as to be retracted and returned, is formed, and a through-hole is formed in the bottom of the recessed portion; and a switch mechanism which turns on or off in accordance with the retraction or return of the garnish. The biasing protrusion penetrates the bottom of the recessed portion, and projects on the underside surface of the recessed portion. The underside surface-side projecting portion of the biasing protrusion is engaged with a biasing member on the underside surface side of the cover element. The biasing member receives a pressing force of the garnish, and biases the garnish in the returning direction.
