Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a hose connector in which hose connection problems are not prone to occur but if such problems do occur, these are easily recognizable. [Solution] This hose connector (10) is provided with a connector main body (12) and a lock member (14) which fits over the connector main body (12). When the lock member (14) is moved to a lock position, an annular reduced-diameter portion (42) of the lock member (14) approaches an annular expanded-diameter portion (24) of the connector main body (12) and these two hold the hose from both sides. By engagement of the connector main body (12) and a second engagement unit (38) formed on the inner peripheral surface of the lock member (12), the lock member (12) is locked in the lock position. If the lock member (14) in the lock position receives a rotation force more than a prescribed amount, a breaking part (49) positioned between the second engagement unit (38) and the annular reduced-diameter portion (42) breaks, but the hose connection is maintained because the second engagement unit (38) supports the annular reduced-diameter portion (42) from behind through the breaking part (49).
