Abstract:
Provided is energy-efficient, low-cost technology capable of supplying temperature-accurate hot air. A device comprising: a heat pump that preheats gas at a temperature lower than the preset temperature required for drying steel or a steel plate and generates hot air; a heating means for heating drying gas containing the hot air generated by the heat pump; and a temperature adjustment means for adjusting the temperature of the drying gas, wherein the heat source on the low temperature side of the heat pump is a refrigerant that has absorbed heat, directly or indirectly, by cooling the steel or the steel plate. Furthermore, this device preferably comprises a control unit that controls the temperature flow rate of the hot air to be preheated by the heat pump and the amount of energy of the heating means for heating the drying gas to a required hot air supply temperature, on the basis of the hot air supply temperature and air volume required for the drying treatment so that the net energy consumption is reduced in light of energy loss from an energy source to a supply destination at a business site.
