Abstract:
A hot gas bulging and rapid-cooling strengthening system and process for a metal pipe, comprising a hydraulic press (100), a mold assembly (200), a rapid heating module (300), and a rapid cooling module (400). The mold assembly comprises a progressive mold (270), which can achieve the hot gas expansion and rapid cooling of a workpiece. By means of the system and process, the costs are lower compared with making of a pipe by a coated and plated metal plate, and there are few structure defects and process risks; by using a progressive mold, a resistance heating procedure and a hot gas expansion and quenching procedure are simultaneously achieved in parallel, progressive feeding is performed, and therefore, there is a fast rhythm, thereby greatly improving efficiency; a part is protected in the whole heating process, anti-oxidation is performed, no coating is required, and the workpiece can be directly welded to a vehicle body without shot peening after forming, thereby greatly reducing costs; a directional destruction safety protection measure is used, thereby improving safety.
