Abstract:
A hot water generating device provided with a heat exchanger for steam-heating water, wherein energy is saved. The hot water generating device (1) is provided with: a main heat exchanger (22) to which a steam feed pipe (11) and a water feed pipe (21) are connected, and in which water fed from the water feed pipe (21) exchanges heat with steam fed from the steam feed pipe (11) and becomes hot; and a drainage pumping device (34) into which drainage produced by condensation of the steam in the main heat exchanger (22) flows, the drainage pumping device (34) pumping the drainage which has flowed thereinto. The hot water generating device (1) is further provided with a shell-and-tube-type preheating heat exchanger (28) having: a container-shaped trunk (28a) installed partway along the water feed pipe (21), the drainage pumped from the drainage pumping device (34) flowing into the trunk (28a); and a heat transfer pipe (28b) provided in the trunk (28a), water in the water feed pipe (21) flowing through the heat transfer pipe (28b). In the preheating heat exchanger (28), the water in the heat transfer pipe (28b) exchanges heat with the drainage in the trunk (28a) and is heated.
