Abstract:
A prediction unit (704) predicts trends in surplus power generated by the power-generating equipment installed in a house. A schedule creation unit (705) creates a daytime heating schedule related to the daytime heating operation of a water heater installed in the house, on the basis of the surplus power trends. A schedule transmission unit (706) transmits the daytime heating schedule to the water heater. The schedule creation unit (705) creates the daytime heating schedule such that if the total time during which the water heater can perform the heating operation with a first capability using only the surplus power is a predetermined reference time or more, the water heater performs the heating operation with the first capability, and if the total time is shorter than the reference time and satisfies a predetermined condition, the water heater performs heating operation with a second capability that is lower than the first capability.
