Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a hot-water supply system which is capable of optimizing the overall energy efficiency of the system, including a heat pump water heater and a gas water heater, in the event of a hot-water shortage for example. The present invention provides a hot-water supply system comprising a hot-water tank (5), a heat pump heating means (2), and an auxiliary heating means (6), wherein: heat pump only operation and auxiliary heating operation in which the heat pump heating means (2) and the auxiliary heating means (6) are simultaneously operated are possible; and, given the same outside temperature, the compressor frequency of the heat pump heating means (2) in the auxiliary heating operation is greater than that of the heat pump heating means (2) in the heat pump only operation, and the heat pump efficiency of the heat pump heating means (2) in the auxiliary heating operation is lower than that of the heat pump heating means (2) in the heat pump only operation.
