Abstract:
Provided in the embodiments of the present application are a hotspot device management method, a communication apparatus and a communication system. In the method, a policy control network element instructs a user plane network element to measure the number of devices that access a terminal device by means of hotspot sharing technology, and the policy control network element is informed when it is detected that the number of devices that access the terminal device by means of the hotspot sharing technology is greater than or equal to a hotspot access threshold value, such that the policy control network element learns that the number of devices that access the terminal device by means of the hotspot sharing technology is greater than or equal to the hotspot access threshold value, and the policy control network element can thus decide a charging mode or control mode for the terminal device, thereby realizing rational charging and precise control on the terminal device.
