Abstract:
The present invention relates to a household appliance (5) comprising a thermal sensor (1) used for measuring the temperature in a contact-free manner from a distance. The Device comprises a light source (2) that is disposed in close proximity to the thermal sensor (1) and that transmits infrared light to the surface (S) of which the temperature is measured by the thermal sensor (1) and a control unit (3) that calculates the distance between the surface (S) of which the temperature is measured and the thermal sensor (1) by comparing the temperature values measured by the thermal sensor (1) when the light source (2) is turned off and turned on.
