Abstract:
The present invention reduces the power consumption of household appliances having communication functions. This household appliance has a communication function and a predetermined related function that uses the communication function, and is equipped with a control circuit that upon receiving an off command for the communication function from a terminal, or when a failure occurs in the communication function, switches the communication function to the off state and also switches the related function to the off state. The related function may be, for example, the imaging function of a camera unit or the weight detection function of a weight sensor.
