Title:
HOUSING FOR A HEARING AID
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO2002076140
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to a housing (1) for a hearing aid that can be inserted into the pinna, comprising an auditory canal part (3). One end of said housing is provided with a cover panel (2) that has a traversing bore (7). A protective element against cerumen is displaceably mounted in said traversing bore (7). The protective element has an upper bow (11), in addition to two lateral props (12) and a lower intermediate strut (13), a sonic transmission chamber (14) being formed between the bow (11) and the intermediate strut (13). The protective element against cerumen (10) permits practically unhindered sonic transmission in a lower operational position, without admitting cerumen or cutaneous particles into the sonic outlet (4) of the tube section (6). In the upper position, the intermediate strut (13) completely closes the traversing bore (7) in the cover panel (2), while the sonic transmission chamber remains freely accessible for cleaning using an appropriate small brush.
