The present invention relates to a gear box for an electric tool and, more specifically, to a coupling structure of an external housing for fixing a ring gear in a gear box to which a planetary gear connected with a motor of an electric tool is applied. To this end, the housing structure of the gear box, according to the present invention, is a gear box for an electric tool, comprising: a cylindrical housing body (100) having a housing body opening (110) provided at one end thereof; a housing cap (200) coupled with the housing body opening (110); and a ring gear (300) which is an internal gear coupled with the housing cap (200) so as to be fixed to the inside of the housing body (100), wherein a plurality of grooves (310) are formed on a lateral surface of an outer circumference of the ring gear (300) and a plurality of protrusions (220) coupled with the grooves (310) are formed on a lateral surface of an inner circumference of the housing cap (200).
