Abstract:
An expandable and flexible hula hoop having an outer ring which can be made round conveniently and easily, and can be turned round the waist with acoustic effect or visual effect. The hula hoop comprises an expandable and flexible coil−like outer ring (1), an expandable and flexible inner ring (3) incorporated in the outer ring, and a band (5) interposed between the outer ring (1) and the inner ring (3) and limiting the maximum elongation length thereof, wherein the opposite forward ends of the outer ring (1) are jointed integrally through a pair of joint members (7) having a spiral groove (7c) on the inside, and the joint member (7) can be fixed with an acoustic voice producing means or a light emitting means. Since the hula hoop has a double structure of outer and inner rings and the weight of the inner ring is increased, even a beginner can play the hula hoop easily. Acupressure effect can be imparted to the waist by the joint members (7) during play and the hula hoop is applicable to stretching or muscle exercise.
