Abstract:
Provided is a human body detecting sensor with high detection performance and an automatic faucet with high operational reliability.
A human body detecting sensor (1) comprises: a distance measuring determination means (321) for determining the presence of a subject to be detected by whether a distance index, which indicates the degree of distance or the distance to the subject to be detected, is within a prescribed range; and a moving body determination means (322) for determining the presence of a moving body by detecting changes in the time of reflected light entering an imaging unit (26). When the amount of reflected light received in a detected state is equal to or greater than a prescribed threshold, switches from a detected state to a non-detected state on the condition that the absence of the subject to be detected is determined by the distance measuring determination means (321), and when the amount of reflected light received under the detected state is less than the prescribed threshold, switches from a detected state to a non-detected state on the condition that the absence of a moving body is determined by the moving body determination means (322).
